Hi my brother is a jewellery wholesaler and he wanted me to help build him a
site in my free time as im a student.

I want to include a means for online payment so that traders (who are
required to sign in - also needs to be taken into consideration) can pay via
credit card or paypal etc. (Cart)

I have found reference sites for jewellers and would like to know exactly
which of these approaches should I use or are there other options also for
me to consider.
1) joomla+virtuemart
2) asp
3) php
4) other

My past experience in web design is basic knowledge of HTML, CSS.
SQL is something i need for sure I know that.

Im wondering how to go about creating an active and dynamic website. I know
that asp is one such technology but would like someone to guide me as to
what exactly i will need so that i may begin my reading.

These would be reference sites whose guidelines i would be building on
