[twincling] string concatenation query

Hi all:

Consider this simple C program.

#include <stdio.h>
int main(void)
{
    printf( "String: %s" "One","Two" "Three" );
    return 0;
}

My query is - 
in gcc, who does the string concatenation ? Is it the preprocessor or is it the 
compiler ?
