Hi all: Most of the Linux distros seem to require PERL 5.8.8 and PERL is installed as part of the installation process.
In the case of Fedora - Python and its libraries are essential since the installer and utils are implemented in Python. However, even then PERL is installed. Can somebody share information about what components actually require PERL runtime ? Does bash need PERL by any chance ? Appreciate any help / suggestions on this. thanks Saifi.
