Hi,

I have a very strange experience.

I was thinking of installing Linux as a second OS on my system with windows XP.
You know this as evidenced by my
correspondence. You have suggested use of Fedora.

I have a DVD with Fedora received along with LFY magazine.
Meanwhile I have also received UBUNTU from UBUNTU org in response to my request
while I was in USA.

Since I am doing some video processing and have large number of clips for this
project on my system I wanted to complete this and then venture installing
Linux.

So I have not even opened the UBUNTU DVD package.

Since 4 days whenever I switch on my system , I am getting a message
whether I want to boot XP or UBUNTU.

This is scary as I have not installed any Linux.
I did not opt for Linux booting yet for fear whether I may lose my present
video data.

Is it possible for some one to hack into my system and install UBUNTU?
I know I was online for long hours on a particular day? Windows XP
does not show any other partition beyond what I created for it.
Any explanation?

Any way of checking from XP as to whether UBUNTU is really there?
