Hi,
Its a problem that occurs when u change ur partition table(eg. creating a new
drive,as in ur case) thru windows. the change doesnt get reflected in the
grub, hence it is unable to boot ur system. Reinstalling grub will solve ur
problem. use a live distro cd like ubuntu/knoppix that allows u to restore
grub.bfore that go thru the procedure of restoring for that particular distro
by a simple google search like "restore grub ubuntu" .

Regards,
Niraj
