OpenLDAP server is one of the best know Open Source LDAP servers. You would need to install, three sets of packages . openldap . openldap-servers . openldap-clients Pl see Redhat specific discussion here http://www.openldap.org/faq/data/cache/105.html The best way would be to install the software from RHL9 CDs.
