Hello everyone, I'm running the Gentoo (2008 version)
on my system for 2-3 weeks now and I've been having
this problem recently.
For the last week or so, I haven't been able to run
emerge --sync properly.
Everytime I try to run it, I get something like:

>>> Checking server timestamp ...
timed out
rsync error: received SIGINT, SIGTERM, or SIGHUP (code
20) at rsync.c(276) [receiver=2.6.9]
>>> Retrying...
Even after retrying all 3 times, still no luck.
I am aware that if you sync to often, you will be
temporarily banned from doing it, but as far as I
know, I didn't sync too often at all prior to this
(the most I did it was twice in one day and that too I
only did that one day).
So please, if anyone has any idea what's going on,
please let me know. Thanks.
