Hi,
I am interested in your 2nd problem. Can you tell us more about it?
You said Ubuntu doesn't detect the HDD, then you say it suggested to perform a
chkdsk from Windows.
Can you post the error messages that Windows and Ubuntu gave?

Thanks & regards

ST

Subject: [twincling] two problems

Hi,

1. i have an article in hindi chanakya font, which cannot be directly
uploaded to website, so i need to do some conversion to unicode. but there
is no conversion software available for this font. what can i do?

2. i have a SATA 80 GB hard disk for my PC. I bought a USB casing and was
using it as an USB HDD with my laptop. suddenly the power went off (the HDD
has a power connection seperately) and from then on, UBUNTU is not able to
detect that volume on which i was working on that time. it suggests to do a
chkdsk in windows, but my windows xp sp2 is also not able to detect the
volume showing that it is a dynamic volume. what to do?
