First of give us some clue which Linux distro/version you are using when you ask for help. For all we know you could be working with an ancient/deprecated version of a distro which does not support all of your hardware. Does your sound card get detected? See output of dmesg to see if your sound card is detected. If present then play some .ogg file, adjust the volume control if necessary. -- Arun Khan
