Hi,
I had the same problem.You can start the Tomacat by following this path-- 
START->control panel->administrative tools->services->select tomcat 6 and say 
start.
If u dont get the apache homepage then there is sth wrong in ur port no.You can 
ur port no in the server.xml file in Apache file in c drive.
