Hi saifi You are right. Ethtool is the more use ful than mii-tool. you can say Ethtool is the super set of mii-tool. As far as the difference is concerned am not that much aware of that. till now i used them just to change the speed and autoneg. but one thing i know is mii-tool has knowledge till 100M speed but ethtool works for GB interfaces also.
