This is a fairly decent configuration you got. Please try this approach: 1. power cycle the device with BT3 CD. 2. When presented with the kernel options, press TAB key 3. in the 'kernel' line, write the following towards the end noapic acpi=off 4. press ENTER key and you are back at the menu. 5. the boot process should go fine In case the system is not able to start the 'X' windows (which i suspect will happen), try startx at the command prompt.
