Request members with Linux partition knowledge and Ubuntu installer to kindly share the best approach to create partitions. Raghu, i would not be the best person to provide a solution in this regard as i run FreeBSD/openBSD with a single large partition and all /, /usr, /var, /tmp, /home etc are slices inside the large physical partition.
