I'm with Michael.  I cut the threads only for the card I'm working on, thread 
the card, wrap it around the inkle pegs, and tie the ends to each other 
creating a circular warp.  There can be a bit of a buildup of knots to get thru 
tighter inkles, but I haven't had any problems with it.
