Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, tablet weaving was most likely
originally used for straps to lead your camel, bind packs, etc. The
fancy stuff probably came later when people began to enjoy leisure
time.

I did a piece about 8 feet long this summer that was used for trim on
an SCA baldric, so I'm not worried about twisting and untwisting.

But Marni, what do you mean by "pick up,' please?
