Not sure if this is what you mean, but I've used them on patterns where I'm 
twisting the edge 2 cards either side continuously in one direction to give 
that warp twined edge. All the centre cards have been turned equally in both 
directions, so twist only builds up in the edge cards. When you go to untwist, 
you do get a kind of sag in those edge cards. I countered this by not 
untwisting them fully each time.
