Colors and Accessibity

Anybody have any idea if the colors used in TB are ADA compliant? 
 Specifically we're being questioned on the message boxes (error, 
informational, warning, etc.) with the use of dark color on light color. 
 When run through an ADA compliant color checker, they seem to come back as 
not compliant, but the tool being used is very old.  Any guidance 
appreciated.
