H i Renoir! Many thanks for the welcome and info - VERY interesting and VERY reassuring to know you also are self taught! Obviously i am aware many in this industry are self taught however the nature of being locked in a dark room for hours can be somewhat isolating. I began my coding journey further to a spinal injury. (80% recovered) I had a lot of time on my hands and not being one for TV or games, I started to try and learn Photoshop, which led on to HTML and CSS, then moving on to PHP & mySQL as a CMS (as i mentioned mostly Wordpress). It's been a great journey in-spite of the frustration and somewhat addictive, wanting to learn more and more. To be philosophical about it - Living is learning, and there is so much to learn!
Webplatform.org looks fantastic! If only i knew of it before! I am passionate about the open source environment not just because of free resource , but because it's people sharing, developing and evolving, which is something i certainly relate to in my circumstances.
