If you've not heard anything, it's likely just coincidence. In any case, here are some of my apparently phantom follows from the last couple of days: JTNVEGAS, Raine93, BartGA, ronquart, shrryfllr People don't usually unfollow so rapidly. I don't know how much of a delay Twitter has in outgoing SMTP, but some of the above I have checked immediately on receiving the follow notification in mail, and I've not been on their following list.
