Hi Thomas, There are a few ways you retrieve this information. When you are on the final leg of your OAuth transaction (exchanging a request token for an access token), part of the response that you get back includes the user id and screen name for the authenticating user:
oauth_token=819797-Jxq8aYUDRmykzVKrgoLhXSq67TEa5ruc4GJC2rWimw&oauth_token_secret=J6zix3FfA9LofH0awS24M3HcBYXO5nI1iYe8EfBA&user_id=819797&screen_name=episod (Notice both "screen_name" and "user_id" keys) You can also make an OAuth authenticated call to http://api.twitter.com/1/account/verify_credentials.xml and receive the information you're looking for back in either XML or JSON format.
