Oh wow that's pretty bad. In that case he can contact ICANN to recover the
domain and have it transfered somewhere else. I'd go with GoDaddy or
ResellerClub, or any of the big ones that have been around for a long time,
as they are very unlikely to disappear or go unresponsive like that.
