Sorry for the late reply - was off work on Friday - but to second Larry's
post about vector points.

We're currently storing 397,637 signatures as vector points and growing by
1,500 a day.

The file is currently 1,065,472,000 bytes and i'm sorry to report, probably
undersized. It also stores info like time & date, text name of person and id
of unit which captured signature - but that's probably only 15% of the
record size.

Thing is with signatures - there is not a lot involved with them compared to
a picture. Hence vectors work well.

As for integration with the Cross product, this might be easy by using the
'draw lines' feature of the cross product.

For our needs, we have a website and a small vb program that converts the
vectors into a bmp for display on the page. Within our green-screen software
we show a hyperlink to an intranet page so users only need to highlight, cut
& paste into web browser.

Or, access fully via intranet/internet pages.

Hope this helps.
