Like you, we are just getting ready to dig in. We did up a proof of concept a few months ago, but haven't done anything since then. Up till now, all of our xml interaction has been pretty customized. We are looking at it primarily as a means of communicating with outside systems. I think there were some examples on pick wicki (don't remember the url off the top of my head).
