Platform: IBM 7043-140, AIX 4.3.3.0, UV 10.0.14 with 42 licenses. I resized 15 total files, of which 8 are basically insignificant. The 7 'major' files I resized were about the same size as they are now as I kept them pretty close to what I determined to be ideal size. I have been just trying to make admin a bit easier. Right...
Here's some detail on the files as they currently exist (I removed .Type30 from each file to save space): BOHDR: -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 761856 Jul 19 12:21 DATA.30 -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 468992 Jul 19 12:02 OVER.30 BOHDRHST: -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 26474496 Jul 19 12:20 DATA.30 -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 8085504 Jul 19 12:08 OVER.30 BOLIN: -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 1343488 Jul 19 12:21 DATA.30 -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 696320 Jul 19 12:19 OVER.30 BOLINHST: -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 46028800 Jul 19 12:20 DATA.30 -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 13684736 Jul 19 12:08 OVER.30 CONF: -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 5322752 Jul 19 12:21 DATA.30 -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 1591296 Jul 19 11:41 OVER.30 ORDHDRHST: -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 61734912 Jul 19 12:20 DATA.30 -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 18298880 Jul 15 17:32 OVER.30 ORDLINHST: -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 64378880 Jul 15 18:16 DATA.30 -rwxrwxrwx 1 vsifax staff 14270464 Jul 15 18:13 OVER.30 df -k: Filesystem 1024-blocks Free %Used Iused %Iused Mounted on /dev/lv00 3072000 1168752 62% 14935 2% /u1 I've done no patching to this OS and the above file system is the standard IBM journaled type, I believe.
