Try the On Error with the file open command, the error may be occuring at the file open. Have you played aroubnd with the FILEINFO Command, that may pick up the issue. I have noticed in the path if there is an error with the File Variable that the on error clause does not work in the read statement.
Thanks for the suggestion David, I tried that, but the corruption is occuring in a specific group the OPEN works fine.
