This position will no doubtedly require a "technical test" of sorts.

I have previously interviewed, (correction: 'taken the logic test to
see if I "qualify" to be interviewed'), for a position as a "technical
consultant" for this same company, several months ago, working
on this same product. [I think I only correctly answered 14 of their
21 "logic test questions" that one of the technical founders developed
many years ago - hence did not even get the follow up courtesy of a
"thanks, but no thanks - but we're not interested" afterwards].

I [only] have a AAS degree, (Electronic Engineering Technology),
that took me 4 years to complete, 3 nights a week, while I was
working full time, plus working overtime. I also have over 20 years
of experience in this marketplace.

I have worked with extensively UniVerse and UniData, and many
other flavorsof PICK and Prime Information, since the semi-early
days, (early 1980's). I have also worked with a number of other
operating systems, databases, applications, conversions of data and
their applications, across numerous vertical market applications.

I have "been there, done that - and not cracked up" as one other
responder suggested, (others may say I was already slightly
cracked up in the first place, or got there along the way, yammv,
of course ;^)>. I have the personality, skill level, maturity, (again,
yammv), personal drive and ambition to be able to put more than
a few words together that make sense, explaining technical concepts
to those who are not technical, and explaining non-technical things
to those who are perhaps a little too technical, all while having the
ability/ambition/drive, and sense of the "big picture", to stay with the
job for more than a week. Better yet, I know what features &
functions need to be in the product they're putting together, and
how to successfully "market it" to this marketplace.

Heck I am even already located in the greater Boston area, am
alreadyused to the weather, and believe I know the President
of the company, having worked with him at an manfacturing
applications software company using this "post-relational
database technology environment" in the early to mid 1980's.

Given all of this, I still doubt they'd bring me in to even discuss this
opportunity, and that is a down right shame. I would and could do a
tremendous job for them, but...
The commute to Boston where they're located is nuts, as is the
amount of money required to park or live nearby, and to pay tolls in
and out; and I would not do much/any travelling that such a position
may require.

Regards,
Scott
