We are using a report writer called Bi/Query with Universe via the UVODBC and have noticed that once connected to the database, the first query has a delay of about 20 seconds before it returns any results. Further queries after this time run immediately without the delay, but leaving the session without activity for about 5-10 minutes means that the next query again has a 20 second delay before returning any results. We have noticed this on many of our customer sites, has anyone else experienced this delay with the UVODBC or aware of what may cause this or how to fix it?
