My solution would be to use a web interface. Redback or Uniobjects would allow you to simultaneously access data from both Universe and Oracle using SQL syntax (ADO).

I am thinking of 2 Options. 1. Through ODBC - I am not sure whether it will be possible at all. Whether the UniVerse ODBC driver comes along with the basic Universe package. 2. Write a driver in C or C++, which can be called from the Basic program through GCI. If someone has any experience with this, I would be grateful if you can share the same. Thanks.
