Just curious - What aspect of the performance suffers? Time to login?
SELECTS? BASIC programs?

Subject: [U2] unidata performance, default shell, udt.exe

Has anyone experienced this before?

Unidata Admin ; Network Services ; UDTelnet Server ; Users ; Pick a user and
the 'Default Shell' is: e:\ud\bin\udt.exe

Don't worry about why I am doing this but........
Copy udt.exe to udt2.exe
Change the Default shell (for any user) to: e:\ud\bin\udt2.exe

Now the performance of the udt2.exe file is significantly less than udt.exe
!
This is the same if I try to put a CMD script for the default shell and use
udt.exe
