I am doing some work on Universe using an intermec 2435 rf terminal. The screen size is 16X24 and its doing vt220 emulation. I set up the LOGIN, VOC record so that when a particular user logs in it does; SET.TERM.TYPE VT220 WIDTH 16 LENGTH 24 It still doesnt seem to 'fit' the small screen. Has anyone worked with this kind of a set up ?
Can't help you there, but.......
I am also wondering how to change the login prompt for the Universe telnet program ?
In UniAdmin, "Network Services", "Telnet", "Logon Banner" and type away.....
It goes beyond the screen width. Last, when you log into Universe on windows it always asks what directory (or account) you would like to go to. Is there a way to do away with this and make it so that the user goes to a preset account and doesnt get the choice ?
We use a Function Key for this.... We tell users to, say, <F12> at the "login" prompt... with <F12> set for usually, user, password and login account...
Seems to work...
