Bob, it's probably too late for you now, and depending on how much data you have to transfer... We have been testing using the SQLXML 3.0 web interface to transfer between UV/aix and SQL.
The advantage for us (on the U2 side) was no 'comms' to setup, no ODBC drivers to install. We just use standard UV Basic to execute a ReVise statement (or 2) to generate the XML, capture it then use HTTP post to send it to an IIS interface to SQL. That calls an SQL template which does an update or reject of the posted XML data. There are potentially some security issues (depending how you set it up, user/passwords aren't necessarily required), and we are having some transfer speed issues, which is why I mentioned data quantity, but that may be how we have implemented it. Nothing to install on the UV/aix side and about a 4 page wizard (ykkks) to setup the SQL/IIS side. We have this running reliably unattended every night over various files updating a SQL data mart. Cheers, Stuart -----Original Message----- From: "Bob Witney" We have installed OpenLink ODBC drivers (multitier) on our Universe 10 box so we can chat to some MicroSoft SQL databases we have. ********************************************************************** This email message and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of addressed recipient(s).
