Dan, I'm not aware of any virtual backup option in uvbackup.
I use the DOS xcopy (not the copy) command running from a .bat file assigned to the Windows Task Scheduler copy UV/NT to both the same server and to a backup server with consistently good success. If this is done to the same path on the backup server as is resides in on the primary server, the backup image can be run on the backup server without even doing a restore, because it's not a file-save, it's an image. hth, Dave Dave Taylor President Sysmark Information Systems, Inc. 49 Aspen Way Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274 800-SYSMARK (800-797-6275) (O) 310-544-1974 (P) 800-339-1497 (F) 310-377-3550 Your Source for Integrated EDI Translation and DataSync Integration www.sysmarkinfo.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan Fitzgerald" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org> Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2005 4:21 PM Subject: [U2] Uvbackup to disk > Is there an option to uvbackup (without the uvadm gui) to direct output to > disk instead of tape? > ------- > u2-users mailing list > u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org > To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/ ------- u2-users mailing list u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
