The IBM UniVerse acct.restore does not support the mvBASE .vtf file. You
will have to make a SAVE to physical tape. Remember only 1 account at a
time. Make your tapes at 8192 for least problems as that is the default
on the UniVerse side.

>From the mvBASE side
> T-SELECT <tape>
> T-ONLINE
> T-ATT 8192
> SAVE SYSTEM <accountname> (TFY
TO: <accountname>

On the IBM UniVerse side
1. Create a temp folder on your Windows machine, for example, d:\temp
2. Log into UniVerse, from UV execute > LONGNAMES ON NEWACC
3. From the DOS prompt, go to d:\temp and execute
             d:\ibm\uv\bin\acct.restore -n -19 -t MT1
4. When restore complete, copy d:\temp\<account> folder to live accounts
folder.
5. Create your account pointer in UniAdmin
5. Log into the new account and run UPDATE.ACCOUNT

I think the acct.restore could be modified to work with the .vtf but
there is something at the beginning of the .vtf that the shipped
acct.restore does not support.

I need to do an account restore from an mvBase.vtf to universe. Does any
one have instructions for this one?

Thanks
