I am thinking a similar question. How do we know how many database connections opened by an application? Could we query a universe table or file to get the info of current active sessions?

Alonzo This is not really a database issue but an application usage iseue, and a BASIC program or (on Unix) a check in the ,profile shell script is exactly the way to do this. A BASIC program should work fine and I can't see why this is a problem - if you could post your source code we can take a look for you. NOTE: Device Licensing (part of Workgroup or Enterprise licenses) allows up to 10 sessions per client PC counting as ONE license. This is probably not what you were looking for however? Hi all. Someone knows how can i know the number of universe sessions a single user id has? Or even, there is some (hiden) parameter that allow limit the universe sessions a user can open simultaneusly? We have made a Basic program, but it not fit in all platforms. Any idea will be apreciated. Regards, ______________________________ Augusto Alonso Alonso I.T.Manager Quiter Servicios Informaticos S.L.
