I agree with this approach and recommend mv.NET, which has many more features than UO (it can use UO as a pipe) but costs a lot less than RedBack. We provide mv.NET product, support, and development services. At the moment I'm saturated with obligations but I've been meaning to write a down-n-dirty sample for MV/relational exchanges to answer this very common request. I'm hoping someone will commission me to write the code and agree to publish it for the benefit of others. Please email if interested. > Again, depending on your goals, there are some tools out there like > the stuff from ON Corp. ONware is another MV DBMS engine which uses Oracle or SQL Server as the primary data source - much more than just a data conduit. If you want to strategically position your MV BASIC code to operate against different environments, or if you want to honestly claim that you run over Oracle (while still using your MV BASIC application) then it's ideal, but for occasional data exchanges I believe it's overkill.
