This could be a router or firewall issue, I've seen similar where 1. blocking mode in HTTP (implicitly not explicitly due to HTTP 1.1 protocol).
2. Blocking mode was explicitly invoked on CallHTTP 3. Firewall or router limited concurrent connections from an IP address (check proxies and see if it is different without the proxy) 4. If HTTPS - the security authority was single-threaded (local certification) Just in passing - also seen one issue where McAfee quarantined the security certificate thinking it was a virus (signature march) Hope it helps ....
