frequent corrupt files... are you by chance running universe programs from
cron without making them phantoms? are you issuing kill -9's? do you have
one of those nifty little scripts that look for shared memory segments with
a 0 Nattch, and issues an ipcrm against them?

Subject: [U2] Universe file problems
Date: Mon, 22 May 2006 16:31:55 -0400
I have 2 customers, both running Universe 10.1.12 on AIX 4.3.3.
One seems to be getting frequent, corrupt files.
The other seems to call regularly saying that they have missing records
in different files.
Most of our files are dynamic files.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to where to go with each
of these.
Is there any type of logging that I can do that might tell me if a user
or a process is deleting records, maybe outside of the application?
Is there anything that I could be looking for as far as corrupt files
go?
Thanks,
-Mike
