I can't replicate your problem, but a somewhat random thought occurs to
me. Edit the DICT item DATE in TESTFILE and save it with another name,
GARY.DATE perhaps. No other change. Then do the exact same queries as
previously but using GARY.DATE instead of DATE. I'm wondering if
perhaps it's a "reserved word" issue. Nothing to support this, but it
shouldn't take you very long to try.
