There is supposed to be a barcode font built into PCL 5 and up, but I could never make it work on our printers. I do have some UV code you can have that will print CODE39 barcodes (only) in about 8 different sizes natively from UV to HP-PCL printers without using soft fonts. It positions the barcodes using row/column addressing WITH the assumption that you are using the 16.66 cpi Lineprinter font. If that meets your need, give me a shout.
