Tony I don't think MS will view this as a bug - more a change in behaviour. If anything it's more strict than IE6 and Firefox, which is a good thing.. I guess I'm saying don't take it for granted that it will render the same as previous versions, particularly now its being prepared for separate general release.
In fact the only bugs I've found in Vista so far have been in hardware support, which is down to the hardware vendor: such as the fact that my HP printer no longer prints half the lines on a document (though it handles the rest okay - figure?), and Vista won't load half my USB devices or any of my data keys. But that's not really down to Microsoft. The even-more-intense security is annoying also: once again it is good for corporates but a barrier being forced onto small site and home users. I'm thinking of drafting Brian's Law About Security Thresholds (BLAST rating) : to identify the point at which security mechansims become so intrusive that they prevent anyone actually doing their work efficiently... only I think we're well passed that now. I have to say, once past the learning curve I've been pretty impressed: especially in the voice recognition features. That's something I've struggled with many times on XP (anyone who's seen my typing knows the backspace is pretty worn away!) but the Vista version really works smoothly.
