Tom, I posted some programs to the U2 User group newsletter on this topic in May 2004. Here's a link to the article:
http://www.u2ug.org/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=9 The Code 39 barcode is also call 3 of 9 barcoding. The barcode is designed with nine bars, three of which are wide. It appears that your code table uses a 1 for a narrow bar and a 2 for a wide bar. As previously noted, your code table include a tenth separator bar. Note that a typical Code 39 barcode begins and ends with an asterisk. My program notes the positions of the three wide bars. Also, I use a character list index rather than the ASCII code in order to save typing. For example, my code for the letter A (ASCII 65) is 169, which means bars 1, 6 and 9 are wide, and the others are narrow. The code you would need to use in attribute 65 is 2111121121. Feel free to contact me directly if you have additional questions. --Tom Pellitieri Century Equipment Toledo, Ohio ------- u2-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
