I did find out what was going on. SETPTR.DEFAULT DOES WORK in Windows
the way it's supposed to. This particular application was build using
SB+ and the users SB+ default printer's stationery definitions were
overriding the UV default!

I believe all printer control is done through the Windows print manager
on a Windows system.
