Hmm... may I suggest that you hire a universe person? It's not that we're
stingy with info here, but what you're asking, and the way you're asking it,
indicates that you do need someone with expertise. What you appear to be
doing is a significant undertaking, and UniVerse is a serious, industrial
strength database. Would you attempt to do this with Oracle or DB2 without
someone (either consulting or on staff) who didn't know how to work with
these databases?
I think that what you're looking for is how to set up the pointers and paths
in your VOC file, so that your files are correctly pointed to from within
the database. What the correct paths there would be depends on where you
restore the data files. If you put them in the same exact paths as they
resided upon in the original box (not sure what form your "data dump" is
in), you might get very lucky, and it'll just work. Of course, your uvconfig
file might not contain the correct settings...
But, again, you really, really need to hire someone with the expertise.
It'll end up being a lot cheaper than paying someone to learn via email
lists & trial and error.
