Bill:

While being funny, you do bring up an interesting point and conceptual
issue.

In English, a multivalued field (column) appears columnar. In the editor, it
appears row-like. In databasic, it appears as the 2nd set of elements in a
dynamic array but not as the second set of a dimensioned (MATREAD) array.
That extraction is even more awkward as REC(15)<1,MV>.

This is second nature to anyone in MV as our brains are acclimated to the
concepts. But to the newbies or more normal-form database folks, it does
look kinda weird, like another dimension.

My D3 cents (no ad intended),
Mark Johnson
