Look in the manuals for remote file pointers, there is a way to do this without required UV/Net installed. It's a setting that just needs to be set in the config file on one of the servers and then you can create file pointers with a network path.

Does anyone know what is the easiest way for Universe BASIC programs to access or update records residing on another Universe server? In Visual Basic, this can be done easily using UniObject. But I am surprised that Universe BASIC itself does not seem to have the capability provided by UniObject. ODBC is out of the question because our Universe servers are runing on two HP-UX boxes without ODBC drivers. Our administrators have no plan to acquire ODBC drivers for them. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
