ALLOWNFS is intended to allow one UV system to READ from the other system. If you want both systems to be updating the same files, you need UV/Net, which maintains shared concurrency locks.

Is UV/Net part of the standard Universe installation on Unix?
The admin manual mentioned a service called uvnetd but I see no such services running on our HP-UX servers and there are no files with such name either.
