You can check the latest releases for your platform here - the release notes
show the fixes applied.

I'm sure I remember a buffer management issue with sockets - it may have
been platform specific (don't recall). If in doubt

Socket works pretty reliably - as does BCI. You may want to get some of the
sample programs from the IBM knowledgebase for comparison (linked from the
above).

9.6 is a *really* old version - the last was over 3 years ago. You will need
to check the latest 9.6 for Windows, followed by 10.0, 10.1, and 10.2 (all
latest versions) for cumulative fixes. As you will see there are a number of
changes....

To be honest, I'd just upgrade or request an evaluation copy of the latest
10.1 or 10.2 (as suits you) and try that version.

Hope this helps

Do you have more information? or a link?

I have an offer for 5000 Euro for 5 Licenses,.....
If the original Software would work, I wouldn't need my programs, because
they are only to
repair the nonsense.

Tried both, with a lot of problems, therefore I changed to my socket
solution, which looked
like it worked for over a year (the crashes happend so seldom, that the
enduser ignored
them)
