I am using SS2005 and have setup a linked server using UniData ODBC, Version 3.1.6.
Everything works, except deleting records from a Unidata table using the following command: DELETE openquery(UNIDATA, 'SELECT * FROM LIA_LOG_SNAP') This returns the error message: ======================================================================== ========= OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "UNIDATA" returned message "[Ardent][UniData ODBC Driver][IBM][SQL Client][UNIDATA]DELETE FROM "LIA_LOG_SNAP" WHERE "ID"=? AND "RID"=?; syntax error". Msg 7345, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "UNIDATA" could not delete from table "SELECT * FROM LIA_LOG_SNAP". There was a recoverable, provider-specific error, such as an RPC failure. ======================================================================== ========= Has anyone ever seen this before?
