The underlying technology is similar to Vista, hence if you have compatibility issues with vista, you will likely have it with Win2008.
The problem with vista, is that it has to cope with every mom & dad machine, every corner store computer shop, every device coming out of all sorts of nooks and crannies. What is the main issue is that there are not the device drivers out for Vista. However from a server end, hopefully people are more discerning about devices they use and there will be less of an issue. Before knocking 2008, people should have a look at it.
