Is there a reason you can't use the D type that points to field 30? i.e. DCOUNT(FLD30,@VM) (where FLD30 is whatever dictionary element points to the 30th attribute).
Another alternative is the FIELD() function. i.e. DCOUNT(FIELD(@RECORD,@FM,30),@VM) Larry Hiscock Western Computer Services -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Kent Sent: Monday, June 02, 2008 5:20 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [U2] Is there a UNIDATA equivalent of Universe Itype Ken, i want to create a simple dict item like ED DICT STK JAK Top of "JAK" in "DICT STK", 6 lines, 38 characters. *--: P7 001: I 002: DCOUNT(@RECORD<30>,@VM) 003: MD0 004: JAK 005: 4R 006: S have tried using a V in 1 also the unidata equalent of LIST FILE EVAL "DCOUNT(@RECORD<NN>,@VM)" jak ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken Wallis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, June 03, 2008 9:56 AM Subject: RE: [U2] Is there a UNIDATA equivalent of Universe Itype @RECORD > John, > > Help us out here.
